Tripartite Government-
A tripartite government is a type of government where there are three branches. The branches are the executive, legislative, and judicial. The executive branch enforces the laws, the legislative branch makes the laws, and the judicial branch interprets in the laws in court. They balance each other out.
How does it work?-
This government works with three branches. The judicial, who interprets the laws in court, the executive, who inforces the laws, and the legislative, who make the laws. In the legislative branch, there were the Senate and the assemblies. The Senate was made up of 300 people while the assemblies were mainly made up of plebeians. The judicial branch consisted of eight judges who served for one year. They oversaw the courts and governed the provinces. The executive branch was lead by the two consuls. They commanded the army and directed the government for one year.
