Anicent Rome Government
In the beggining Roman gods were considered divine, faceless, powerful, and formless. The idea of many gods came later, often influenced by the Greek panthenon. The Romans worshiped a main panthenon of 12 gods called Dii Consentes. These gods and goddessed consists of Jupiter, Juno, Neptunus, Ceres, Vesta, Minerva, Diana, Apollo, Mars, Murcurius, Volcanus, and Venus.
Jupiter-

Jupiter was the supreme god of the Roman panthenon, called dies pater, "shining father". He was the god of the sky, and protecter of the state and its laws. He is the sun of Saturn and the brother of Neptune and Juno, who was also his wife. The Greek god equivalent to Jupiter is Zeus.

Juno-
Juno was the protecter and special counciler of the Roman state and queen of the gods. She was the sister and wife of Jupiter and the daughter of Saturn. Juno was the mother of Mars, Vulcan, and Juventas. As the patron goddess Rome and the Roman empire as she Regina, "queen", and along with Jupiter and Minerva, was worshiped as a triad on the Capital in Rome. Hera is the Greek equivalent to Juno.
Minerva-
Minerva was equivalent to the Greek god Athena. Minerva was the virgin god of poety, medicine, wisdom, commerence, crafts, and magic. She often depended on her sacred animal the owl named "the owl of Minerva", which symbolizes her ties to wisdom. Minerva was the goddess of medicine, wisdom, the arts, science, and trade, but Minerva was also the goddess of one more thing. War.
